Thanks to our customers, for the months of November-January, we have just been able to give over $1,000 to help feed Miskito children in Nicaragua!
Jeff and I had the privilege of visiting Somoto, Nicaragua this past summer. Along with our small team, we spent most of our time helping out at an orphanage. Jeff played games with the children and helped work on broken bikes, (for some their only mode of transport), while I did arts and crafts with the children. Jeff was able to visit a coffee farm while we were there and bring some coffee home to roast as well! It was here that we met Pastor Carlos and learned of the dire needs within the country, especially those of the Miskito people, an indigenous people living on the Miskito coast. Due to many factors, there is a shortage of food and Pastor Carlos and his team help supply feeding centers. However, there was not enough money to transport the food to fill all the needs. By giving a donation of $1,000, Carlos and his team will be able to get the food to the children who need it most!
